Cleveland, MS. Own small farm near Booneville, MS

Kidsdad - 11/21/2022 14:35 So I have one simple question. Are you saved? I’m not condemning you. This has nothing to do with Farming, but it all boils down to what camp you are in, and what Jesus Christ did on the cross. The commandments condemn us. We have broken every one of them, even murder. For instance when we get furiously mad that sin is counted as murder. Christ paid it all with his blood. We do not have to lift a finger to be in good graces with the God of heaven, but as in when I married my wife, I needed to make a commitment to her. When I gave it all to him, I became born again (John chapter 3). Now I do not need to worry about If I’m saved. I no longer have to work to try to “get to heaven”. So to be saved you only need to ask. Pray, Lord I believe that you died and rose from the dead for me. I believe that I sin and can’t be saved on my own. Please Save me from hell’s fire. Amen. That is all it takes. Then you should be baptized.

While I appreciate your concern for souls and your willingness to bring the need for salvation to the attention of others, I have just a few questions.

1) You stated: "So to be saved you only need to ask. Pray, Lord I believe that you died and rose from the dead for me. I believe that I sin and can't bee saved on my own. Please save me from hell's fire. Amen. That is all it takes. Then you should be baptized." Will you please point me to a passage in the Bible where anyone was saved by doing as you have described? If you can I would greatly appreciate it.

2) Can a person be saved prior to receiving forgiveness of sins? For example, when was Saul of Tarsus saved? Was it when he met Jesus on the road to Damascus or was it only after Ananias came to him and gave in instructions as to what he should do? (cf. Acts 9:17, 18; Acts 22:16)

3) Can anyone be saved outside of Christ? In connection with that question, how does one get into Christ? Please compare Romans 6:1-7 and Galatians 3:26-29.
