Population here seems to be increasing at a rapid rate , luckily i have old rangey horned cows keeping them off the calves .
Any of you fellows activley trap and hunt them ?
I've never used leg holds but I like to snare them. It's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. I think leg hold trapping them is likely a lot more challenging. With snares it's a numbers game, I load up all the trails going in or out of a grassy area. I like to set them where I can drive by and check them without walking and leaving human scent around every day. A guy can get a bunch of them that way if your willing to spend the time to set a big string of them. |
