For the deer blood, get the brightest UV light you can find, it might help. With the light, I can see blood drops in the shade about half as reliably as a non-color blind person can see without the light. As it gets darker, the light helps more.
Even then I'm crawling around looking for drops of blood while everyone else already followed the trail over the next hill. | |
