We use animal fats to cook with. You can do an online search and find tables with the number of omega-3 and omega-6 fats. The idea by some is we eat too many 6 and not enough 3. That is one train of thought. The other is the amount of oxidation the oils have with the idea the oxidation transfers into our cells and causes mitochondria damage.

Who knows what to do!!!!

We just use animal fats. A lot of bacon grease, lard, etc. Only vegetable oils we get might be incidental when we eat out, but even then we avoid any prepared salad dressing or foods that would be high in it.

I don't eat peanut butter any more either. However I did when we first went low carb then later phased it out. There is probably not a on off switch where one food is good and the other bad. In a lot of cases I think there is a gradient of good vs bad. I personally put peanut butter as not terrible but not especially healthy. Kind of in the midd. Tastes pretty good though, especially the brands with considerable sugar added.
