swMN | This spring my blue heeler had a lump on the side of her lower jaw, I thought it was her jowls growing, she's way over weight, then you could tell it was a lump, felt hard not like a puss pocket, unlike most cattle dogs she hates to ride in a vehicle, she whines and tries to lay on your lap, only goes to the vet for rabies vaccine, but made appointment for a check, got her in the old farm truck, headed to town, pretty soon she's rubbing on my arm and whining, tried to shoo her away and felt something wet thought it was just slobber, nope, puss lots of yellow stinky puss all over my shirt, seat, console every thing. She must of had a puncture wound that got infected, too close to her jugular to cut it open and irrigate so just squeezed out as much as possible and treated with antibiotics. | |
