North Central OH		Well you can buy the plain rice cheaper last I checked just takes longer to cook. There are several varieties of rice available although I have only ever used the plain white. As to a cooker don't have one per say but did end up with an instant pot that is primarily used for rice anymore. Its not necessary it makes regular rice easy, dump water and rice in and set the timer no baby sitting the pot on the stove. Haven't really had minute rice since I was a kid but there is a texture difference between it and slow cooked rice.
