Nash County, NC | A group of friends used to butch hogs. We had the food saver type with the bags that sucks the air out. The problem with them is they always suck the juice from fresh meat into the vacuum pump.
We switched over to the chamber type everyone is talking about and solved that problem. I cant find the brand currently but it 2 or 3 times the price of the conventional sealer.
An additional benefit is you can use any type of bags you wish. I have sealed garden vegetables in ziplock freezer bags without any trouble. FYI, it has a heat strip to actually seal the bag. | |
