Subject: RE: Menards kitchen cabinets?

West Central IL
I put some cheap Menards cabinets in this old farmhouse. Some of the cabinets from the 70's I left and just bought the matching doors that matched the Menards cabinets. I painted everything white to match. So far the drawers, new cabinets and the doors I put on the ones I salvage are holding up well. I did this pre COVID back in about 2019 so they aren't that old. I had a hinge I had a bit of trouble with but I had some extras from my door replacements I just swapped it out. I topped it all off with laminate countertop from Menards. Only place around that stocked a 12' piece so I didn't have to splice 2 together or custom order. I did have to cut a 45 on one end but it seemed up perfect with the factory 45 cut on the other piece I used. One other touch I did that also came from Menards was I used synthetic wood flooring for the backsplash that looks like old barnwood. Easy to clean with an old wood look.
