swMN | Left eye detached retina about 2 years ago now, started seeing gray spots on a Thursday, went to my local guy, he thought it was a broken blood vessel but get to a specialist asap, specialist couldn't see through all the blood, take these drops all weekend, come back Monday morning, yep detached retina,, immediate surgery, went great for about six weeks, then tore again, this time scleral buckle and oil bubble, six months later remove the the oil bubble, vision is there but not great, I had cataract surgery before this, still cant judge distance real well or left to right, I'm 53, first time I poured a drink after the first surgery I poured whiskey all over the counter. Haven't been to an eye doctor since and maybe glasses will help. | |
