I help admin the West Union, Illinois Community Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/WestUnionIL). We have been contacted by a lady making a quilt from signature blocks from the 1953 West Union Community Club.

She writes "The blocks were part of an estate sale from a home in west Union Illinois. An antique store purchased several lots of items and the blocks were in there. The antique store has a booth with the international quilt show and was selling the pieces at the shows. Which is where I acquired them."

Here's our problem: Nobody we've talked with remembers a West Union, Illinois Community Club in 1953. There was a Thursday Afternoon Club. But none of the names on her blocks are familiar.

We suspect they came from a West Union Community Club in another state. Look through the attached photos and see if any of the names are familiar to you. If you can help us locate where this quilt belongs let us know.
