No, You understood correctly.
Truth fully I am not sure what it will cost. I had a mess and with the dry weather I figured correctly chemicals wouldn't work. I did try some.
I went ahead and had them walked. At that juncture I figured if I did nothing the beans would be almost nothing and we would have trouble combining them. Plus the weed seed.
I am waiting for the bean walking bill. If they had walked them earlier it wouldn't have been so bad but they put me off for 3 weeks. By then the beans were closing and the weeds thick and large. The guys walking had to cut a weed. Pick it up and move it out of the way, do that about 2x and then push through he beans a step and repeat.
It also didn't help when I count 6 guys working and the boss says 12. We will see how the bill comes out. A few of those days were hot enough they might have had half the crew resting at a time. Temps were 100 plus.
I timed them while I watched and it took 5 men that were working an hour to do an acre.
