Western Oregon | I started having problems at 19. I was told by a chronic pain specialist to only use virgin cold pressed olive oil, it doesn't oxidize as quickly. Buy the smallest bottle to keep it fresher but he told me best to use pastured butter so I make my own goat butter since I am lactose intolerant. We don't eat a lot of meat, grass fed only so we eat elk and venison, some free range chicken that the hens hatch out and a couple wild turkeys. Most meat is for flavoring, no more than 3oz, 3 days a week. We do eat a lot of fish. We buy very little, no processed foods. Almost everything we eat is what we can grow here in garden and greenhouse and gleaning the woods around us for nuts, mushrooms and wild fruit. We do buy a few oranges, grapefruit and bananas. No white sugar, a little dark brown, maybe 2 lbs/yr and use wild honey. We can fruit in it's own juice. Drink spring water, apple cider and a little raspberry or strawberry lemonade as a treat. I have a lemon tree in the greenhouse. I have spells of inflammation, had polio as a kid, 2 bad relapses and several bad bone breaks since 50. I can't throw a rock 10' and only underhanded, can't lift my arms above my head except directly in front of my face. I can't scratch the back of my head. I can not get my hands behind me, above my waist, at all....James
