Subject: RE: Shaving equipment?

Middlesex County, Ontario
I get ingrown hairs easily, more blades just offer a closer cut and more ingrown hairs. I went from 5 blades to 3 blades to 2 blades to 1 blade.

Safety razors are what I have settled on. I have a nice and heavy and shiny chrome plated brass handle, made in Germany, I spent $45 on it but you could spend anywhere form $15 to $100. And then 40c safety razor blades that I toss every 3rd shave (wasteful, could get 5 shaves out of one). Way less ingrown hairs and bumps than any disposable razor from wal mart.

I stopped using cans of shaving cream too. A $5 can of Arko shaving soap lasts months and months, compared to stuff from a compressed can the Arko soap feels fancy and nicer on the skin. Using a brush isn't difficult or expensive.
