| My wild guess. The brakes were at most getting activated 50%. You cleaned connections, hooked it and brakes activated +70%. As it had not moved that far in years it was rusty, stuck. The spring is not strong enough to release. Quick, easy. Pound from inside to release brake. Better remove tire, bearing nut, brake lube, work it, maybe sand/paint or replace.. often few sharp hits will loosen it. | |
