I couldn't do the hot paper clip to myself so I have used 18 gauge syringe needles as a drill bit. I just twiddle back and forth between the thumb and index finger and I'm drilled through pretty quick. Instant relief!
I dropped a pto shaft from a grinder mixer on my thumb years ago. That throbbed so bad, I couldn't sleep. I always lose the nail but I think that'll happen if you drain it or not.
Will this finger get better without treatment?
