I agree with you Northerners on that subject. Boiled peanuts are a acquired taste for sure. Personally I prefer pecans, cashews, and Brazil nuts. ( we call them by a less politically correct name lol)

I remember as a kid my grandfather would always keep a big bag of peanuts ( in the shell) in the truck. We would go check cows, go to hay fields etc, daddy would drive and me and him cracking peanuts on the way. Several weeks ago field man from co/op was by and my little boy was along. Kevin gave him a small bag of peanuts as a treat and it really took me back down memory lane. It was same color bag and everything. Funny how little things like that take you back to a better place..... to this day I prefer peanuts in the shell to the shelled ones. My son loves 5 guys more for the peanuts then the burgers lol
