I wear crocs around the house and I've found that logger boots help my feet. I buy dr soles planter fascilitis inserts. I've tried the expensive ones but dr soles work best for me. Put them in my carolina steel toe logger boots and im good to go.
I never go barefoot around the house, crocs are a necessity.
If i wear flat soled boots i can hardly walk after sitting in a truck or tractor for any length of time. Logger boots really helped that for me.

Working in the poultry houses the shavings are hell on your feet. Ive tried every shoe made and logger boots is what helps me. ( and crocs)
