I think much of the problem is the type of jobs you have had. Running a dairy requires management skills and decision making. Many hourly jobs are boring to someone who is used to the dairy business. You need to set your sights higher than that. If it requires more education, college or vocational school, then start looking at the opportunities in your area and go from there.


There is truth to this. A lot of jobs out there are simply boring by comparison. We often speak disparagingly about folks who think certain jobs are 'beneath them.' But it's perfectly fine to want a job that challenges you. There's no sense working a boring job if you have the option of something that better suits your abilities.
