I may use pieces of cardboard and thumb tacks for the pivot points. Lay out the dimensions to scale on drafting table. I would suggest a more common cylinder size. 4x8 - 4x10. You may need another some day. Keep it popular and it will be simpler to find. The farther away from pivot point the lower the force on cylinder mounts. Sometimes, moving cylinder mounting points an eighth of an inch makes a difference.
Here is a 5x6 cylinder. If that is all that fits, go for it. But I would recommend something more common.
