Wisconsin | a 5x6" hydraulic cylinder will be very unusual, and expensive if you can't find them surplus. if at all possible, make it work with 3x8 or similar common cylinder sizes.
The geometry is hard to calculate for somebody who doesn't do it regularly. Use some scrap steel and conduit, like a 1/2" inside of a 3/4", or wood sticks and plywood to imitate a hydraulic cylinder to get the measurements that will work, trial and error style. | |
