This. They used to say replace any fridge over 20 years old, but they were wrong, and that was over 20 years ago. New fridges that last less than ten years are not more economical to own than a 90's fridge. Chest freezers haven't improved much since they switched from fiberglass to foam insulation, lift up the trim at the top and look before replacing one, better yet get a kill a watt and run it for a week to compare to a new one.
