We have the same rake we use for flipping windrows. Ours has an adjustable restrictor in the line to cure your problem. Don't just remove the restrictor, it's there for a reason, but Surplus Center or a good hydraulic shop will sell you a adjustable valve to replace it. As posted already, you might take it apart and clean it. I also have drilled them out a smidge before, a little goes a long way.

I don't remember if our Miller has a small cylinder on the tounge like a Kuhn that levels it as you lower it down? You don't want it to just drop.
