Subject: update after the second defrost

Pittsburg, Kansas

The first defrost of the freezer portion letting is set open over night with a fan on it cured it for about three days. She defrosted it again and is now not making the noise again. So we are pretty certain the problem is ice buildup for some reason.

We may not have let it defrost long enough. If it happens again we will let it go 24 hours to make sure everything including the drain line is thawed. We have not rolled it out from the wall yet to have a look see what is available from behind as far as access to any drain pan or whatever. We have a bunch of frozen bottles of water in the freezer and we just put them in the refrigerator portion and that keeps the refrigerated food cool.

One tech she tried to contact (left a message) text her for the model information and she text it back to him, but haven't heard boo from him since. So don't know.

Right now it is working, not making noise, so we will see. I did watch a few videos on Youtube about refrigerator/freezers making noise. Some good information, some long winded information they could have cut the video in half or less and said all they needed to say, but for free advice some of it was pretty good.
