In the 70s, the markets would blind side you over night. Bean market was at 9.30 and dropped to $ 8.00 over night because the dock workers went on strike. Being a young farmer (21) I was not going to sell my beans for $ 8.00, I sold them for $ 5.15. I was a freshman at the school of Hard Knocks at the time. I learned a very valuable lesson. Don’t let pride overtake your marketing decision, or any other decisions. “The heart is deceitful above all things”. I’ve got a head on me, it just works a little slow. Grin.


New crop beans down .75$ + today.  Percentage wise not as much, but still.........
