S Illinois

How far from say Brookings SD are you? I looked up a couple of locations climate data, one in SD and one in S IL-Centralia which is dead center of the state straight east of St Louis. Thinking we don't always get as much rain in season as some think.

June: 4.3" rain. 77/55
July: 3.25" 82/59
Aug: 3.07". 80/57
Sept: 3.19". 71/47

Centralia:

June: 3.99". 84/62
July: 3.6". 88/65
Aug: 3.06". 88/64
Sept: 3.05". 80/54
Mar-May: 13". Never have to worry about drought, but makes planting/stand establishment a major chore some years.
