Agree that the paper straws are not ideal.
What were straws like before plastic came along?
I know we had them but do not remember what they were made of or how the worked.

I see more people investing in the SS straws that you can use over and over and put through the dish washer.
And maybe a dedicated SS fork and spoon for those take out foods instead of the little plastic things that bend and break.

We have changed to bringing our own bags so why not our own utensils?
