Bremen, KS | I wonder which railroad they're referring to as "the railroad" as I count at least three that were in Beatrice--UP that is now the trail (the Valley Route that once went from Valley, NE to Manhattan, KS), BNSF that just serves Farmers Cooperative but used to go to Wymore, and the Rock Island that used to go east/west through town and was abandoned in the wake of its bankruptcy (east of town was abandoned much earlier)?
Oft times the lack of detail in these local histories is frustrating. | |
