Subject: RE: Multi-tasking

Mid Michigan
I've had to multi task at my job for decades. To the point of being ridiculous. Running parts that require about 19 checks and trying to keep everything running at the same time. The biggest problem with it is people that don't have a job like that wanting to jabber jaw with you while you're trying to do it. My observation has been that some people are good multitaskers and many are way too slow and deliberate and can't function that way. Your brain always has to be two steps ahead of your body or you will make many mistakes. Some people have a really slow response time in their brains. When I'm working with somebody on any kind of a project I'm usually about 2 steps ahead of them in my mind when it comes to getting them tools or problemsolving. I think it's partly from practice and partly from personality.
