South Central MN
I have one of those as well. I know one of the heating elements has been replaced but don't remember if it was top or bottom. It is about 25+ years old.

Average life expectancy for a run of the mill water heater is around 10 years here according to one place that sells and installs them. Biggest thing is having a water softener before the water heater. The Marathon was a special deal through the REA here, not sure what one would go for if you buy it somewhere else.
