Subject: RE: Update to RTK guidance jumping...

South Central MN
From the email I sent to agleader, we are experiencing 3 main glitch types...

Glitch types:

Glitch 1: Machine is driving along and suddenly makes a hard turn left or right. As the glitch occurs, it does show a false offline error on the lightbar of 7” up to 15”, so the tractor is attempting to follow that false offset. Once the machine is stopped, that false offset goes away and the line returns to where it should have been. We are then able to proceed normally without shifting or nudging the line. This glitch has affected 2 tractors in operation at almost the same exact time. In the case of the file below, only one tractor was in operation when we were able to document the glitch.

Glitch 2: Machine has been stopped momentarily while under guidance to pick up a rock. When we restart, machine wants to make a hard turn similar to glitch #1 even though it is physically in the right spot on the row. This glitch has only been experienced by the machine being controlled by the incommand named IC1200-1. When these glitches occurred, the other machine was not in operation.

Glitch 3: Machine is driving along when a message stating something along the lines of “GPS Error” is displayed on the screen. Autosteer was then kicked out. I can’t remember if the satellite stayed green or not, but the display completely lost its orientation, and the display rotated by at least 45 degrees. In addition, it plotted a path across the entire field that was not actually driven by the machine. This glitch affected both machines in operation at the exact same time. We were on the phone with each other when it happened. The angle of the phantom plot is roughly similar for both machines. After a couple minutes, the glitch resolved itself and we were able to continue without shifting or nudging the guidance line. Below are photos of the phantom plots.
