Subject: RAIN comparison to last year

Northeast Iowa
Can grow a hell of crop on short moisture.

Waterloo Iowa Jan 1 2021-July 1 2021 had about 9.5 inches of precip. Bad subsoil moisture from a very dry 2020 late summer and fall. July rain last year totaled about 1 inch. Tiles ran briefly in May after a 3.5 inch rainstorm. County yield for the area was 194 bushel/acre. (Had 6.5 inches of Aug rain)

Waterloo, Iowa Jan 1 2022 to today has about 18.5 inches of precip. Good subsoil moisture going into July. Tiles running regularly. Planting conditions were late due to cold, but very good otherwise. As long as we aren't 100 degrees and windy in July, I'm very optimistic about my crop. This one has potentional to be the largest crop ever here. A few more rains and I'll want to buy another truck and trailer or else I'll be working on christmas.
