| $36 to cut, rake and bale and $18 to bale. Went up to these prices this year due to everything going up and the fact that with fertilizer prices my customers shorted or did not apply fertilizer this year meaning I have to cover more acres to get the number of bales they need. I have pulled into the field of a neighbor that was broke down and dumped the last bale on the go so he could not stop me and try to pay. I have pulled in on my way home to help a neighbor finish before the rain caught him. I have also turned on the end of the field and crested a hill to see 2 neighbors coming down the wind rows toward me because they knew I had overloaded myself. | |
