northeastern Ohio | Two weeks ago, I ordered 50 units of semen from a national company that no longer has a rep in my area. They shipped the 50 units in the normal shipper with a minimal amount of nitrogen directly to my farm. It arrived 2 days later. I transfered the semen to my tank. No problem. Order successful.
Last night I arrived at the barn to find another semen shipment at my door from the same company. I did not order any. I opened the paperwork and it is 50 units of the same bull and was shipped 2 days ago. I tried calling my contact at the company, but he did not answer or return my call. It is now the weekend.
How many days do you think this semen will last in their shipper tank with a minimal amount of nitrogen? Is it good for a week? If they send Fedex to pick it up on Monday, they would get it back on Wed, which would be a week since it was originally shipped.
I don't really need 50 more units of this bull, but if the price is right, I might consider buying it. | |
