I would not overfill oil. Look in fuel tank. Is the draw tube caught? (If flex hose with weight to “find” lowest point in tank). Weigh off? Hose cracked…
Does it sound like fuel starvation, or low oil shut off? If it is low oil, oil level correct on level. Make sure that engine rated to run at angle you are using. I have heard of $$$ lawn mowers destroying engine cutting a long ditch. I was told “never cut more then 50 yards on a steep side slope. “
I seldom use that rider on ditch. Prefer older, basic mower. I can stabilize it from side as I walk it across ditch.
