Last year very dry in ne Iowa. I had a 1/2 inch of rain and double cropped beans into hay ground moisture 2 inches deep like corn and only got 60000 stand. Beans went 40 bu a little low for me but weedy. Many beans germinated but couldn’t make it. If I could do over I would have planted normal 1 1/4 deep and added stand for shade. Lots of August rain helped.
