western iowa,by Denison | 20 wide works better-and 40ft deep-we have around 50 ton of ddgs filling are 40 ft deepx15 bays today-20 wide just gives more room with not much more cost-this is 1 load in my 20x40 around 20 ton-i have built 4 commodity sheds-the best is the 20 wide x 40 deep-the worse is one we built 25 years ago it is 14x28 and not as tall-lot of ideas out there-best is to personally view them and take pictures before you build, can grind 40 bales in the 20ft wide bays 28ft deep shed-it has 12ft high back wall-we can store about 9 bales every 5 ft in the 20ft wide ones
I like not having any place for bids to sit so we just use 2x12's on edge for purlins and roof structure-birds hardly ever sit on the angle bracing
