North Central Texas
I've called enough wannabe cowboys to come get there cattle in my lots before. They sit there at 100+ with no water and may wait till the fool gets off work and picks them up at 7. A cow isn't going to die at 97 with no water in 24 hours especially at a low humidity. Now a good neighbor that has his cattle in a pen isn't going to let them sit in there and would have had a trailer there immediately. Happens again, I'll haul them to the sale barn and put them in his name. We get to do that here. May not be applicable in other places.

Just did that last week by the way.
