whitesville new york
Last alfalfa planted here was 15, I've found I have better luck growing clover and more native grasses like festolium orchard grass tall fescue. Seems to feed better as well.

Our rotation is, sorghum Sudan grass, 2 years corn, sorghum Sudan grass, 2 years corn, sorghum Sudan grass with grass seed. Stays hay til needed to go to corn. We try to plant rye as a cover crop and take as a forage in the spring ahead of sorghum Sudan grass. Thinking of trying tritical when killing hay ground before sorghum Sudan grass.
