Not sure what the "goal" is, other than to do it right! I am looking not only for the technique of how to do it, but also thought processes that may go into the equation. Tim emailed me an example where the idea of an "environmental cost" for over application was considered, and a yield/revenue hit for under application as well as product cost, an interesting and seemingly valid concept.
I was really only thinking of product cost at first, but you do have to determine some way of also measuring the "success" of application at each point. With the amount of VRT equipment out there, and the expense of making two seperate passes over the field, I am a little surprised this isn't more of an issue that comes up.
