Subject: RE: Fertilizing hay land?

Ontario
In my corner of Ontario we typically get 5 years before the alfalfa starts getting sparse, soil sample first to make sure the PH is inline to support an alfalfa stand and probably plan on 150 map 150 potash at seeding time then throwing some potash/zinc/boron every fall to keep things up. Then with my straight grass hay i throw on 60~lb of N every cut and solid beef manure in the fall.
