Subject: No till in hard ground

We have a field we'd like to no till corn into. Problem is the soil in this field is usually very hard, even when moist.. It's a loam of some type and our 235 JD disc will only penetrate about 2" on a good year. Question is, if we do manage to get the seed to the right depth will the corn manage to do well in the hard ground ????
