Subject: Crimping Rye Late

East Central Illinois
Rye has just started pollinating on our earliest planted fields, rolled those with decent layover, but have a few fields not quite there yet. Anyone ever roll/crimp the rye much after pollination? With rain in the next 4-5 days, may not get to it for a week or so, and pollination may be over. Would crimping still work? Still kill the rye with not much worry of viable seed? Any experiences or ideas appreciated, thanks!
