People I've said this to locally don't seem to agree much, but for here I believe our normal annual rainfall is way more than needed to get a good crop and in fact probably is detrimental in many years. Last year we were way below normal and had real nice crops. Dry springs are one major ingredient.
Timeliness of an adequate amount of new water above and beyond what’s in the profile from dormant season will do fine.
A lot of excess water in an average rainfall year. Rivers are there for a reason and it’s not to carry needed rain water. |
