Yeah it’s like 2 or 3% increase at least that’s what the windmills around here were offering. This year just took 3-5 years of that increase in one year... why don’t they put these solar project on top of every wal mart and big box store instead of the most productive farmland in the world?

I think it only effect farmland value if there is a perceived viable option for one of these specialty deals. For example if you own farm ground around an expanding city. Your farm ground within a mile or two of the city may be worth more due to speculation but go to your other farm 15 miles away in same county and that speculation is gone and it is just fair market value for that farm. So maybe some effect but limited. But I may be wrong. I am not a fan of solar or wind. I farm around a Wind farm mess and they only care about themselves.
