Subject: RE: 30in beans ohio

SW Ohio
I plant mine in 30" rows. I may give up a little yield some years but there are advantages to not running over much when spraying, planting a lower population than a drill and the cost of a 12r 30" planter was a lot less than a 30 foot split row planter to buy and to outfit with upgrades.
I had a row spacing trial in 2020 and there was no difference in yield that time.
I planted a 15 vs 30 rows spacing trial last week that hopefully will be included in the Ohio State eFields book next year.
I typically plant 120-130k
