Aluminum in the dishwasher

Subject: Aluminum in the dishwasher


WC IN		So we remodeled our kitchen this winter. We have never had a dishwasher before, have been very pleased with how well our new works.

But, we put an aluminum Angel Food cake pan in it, a very old one. It came out "discolored". Kind of rainbow washed like oil on water?

Did we ruin it?

Guess we are only out a cake mix to find out, but its very old and would like to continue using it.
