How would he respond if you told them you wanted your oats back? If the oat quality is outside of the prior agreed upon parameters, it seems like the burden is on the buyer to tell you what he will pay before he accepts them. He could either return them to you or pay a price acceptable by both parties. Not how you want to spend your mental energy.
