Southern Missouri | Personally I think how you apply it to that treated seed is more important than the ratio of graphite/ talc especially if you’re worried about hose plugging on ccs, fresh treated seed needs dropped out of seed box into some other container,we’ve used another seed box and we used another seed tender, as it’s being dropped out of box put the talc to it and then after it’s been fairly well coated with talc/ graphite, transfer it into the seed tender that’s going to put it into the planter.Unless we do it like this we had heck with plugged ccs/ hoses when we were putting fresh treated seed straight into seed tender then as we ran it from seed tender to ccs tank and applying talc/graphite as it went into the planter tank .Each individual seed is much better covered when premixing talc/ graphite onto seed before it goes into the seed filling planter.Again this is what worked for us to end the treated soybean seed plugging our ccs,I’ll try anything before going back to trying to unplug that sob in the field all the time. | |
