Middlesex County, Ontario | Maybe a wacky idea but what about a log loader truck? Won’t fit on your gooseneck but can drive there fast under its own power. Has a nice heavy duty grapple. Boom all the sticks onto the bed and transport/unload to a burn pile somewhere. Might need a tug from a tractor sometimes but they’re all double frame with good recovery tow points. Late 80s trucks seem able to be had for $15k on some auction sites, can’t buy a mini ex for that.
It’ll make quick work of the dam, you can use all the time you saved to maintain one or two extra engines and fix hydraulic hoses on an 80s auction vehicle. |
