Subject: Soybean crusting

Southern Missouri
The crusting is severe on one days planting, the days before are ok and after that pounding rain we’re ok , but that particular days planting has beans that are popping the cotyledons off and the little straight broken stem is putting leafs on , most all the broken off ones are doing that , our bean seed seems to be a lot meaner in the last few years than it used to be, here used to when water would get over them at small height, they’d die, now they don’t , don’t ever show drought wilt as bad as they used to either, I can’t believe how many of these are putting out a set of leaves and acting like they’re going to take off , we’ll see I guess, there’s probably a good enough stand to leave if they don’t make it but this sure is interesting
